Dr. Marsely Kehoe

Director, Andrew W. Mellon Scholars Program in the Arts and Humanities

Dr. Marsely Kehoe has been at Hope College since Spring of 2017, teaching in the Department of Art and Art History and the Mellon Scholars Program. With a PhD in Dutch Art History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a specialty in the Dutch around the world, she is particularly at home in Holland. Her research and publications include work on the urban planning and architecture of the Dutch cities of Batavia (now Jakarta), Willemstad, Curaçao; Dutch still life painting of trade goods, and the nautilus cup. She uses digital research methods like developing and analyzing datasets, 3D modelling
and mapping.
